From a Spanner to a Showroom
The DSB Bathrooms: The director’s story begins over 20 years ago, when I first worked as a plumber and gas engineer here in the Torbay area on minor jobs. These small jobs were the start of a career that would grow far beyond what I imagined at the time.
Over the years, those minor repairs led to larger contracts with local builders and property developers. I found myself installing bathrooms in new builds, refurbishing older properties, and managing more complex projects. However, it was during this time that I spotted a major problem in the industry.
Spotting the Gap in the Market
I noticed that the process was disorganised. Multiple trades and builders didn’t always work together smoothly, which impacted the client experience.
That frustration became my motivation. I knew there had to be a better way to deliver bathrooms — a service that was fully in-house, with one team managing everything from design to installation. This approach would not only improve efficiency but also transform the client experience.
Fast Forward 10 Years
This vision became DSB Bathrooms. Today, the business has grown from a one-man plumbing service to a fully staffed bathroom renovation company. We’ve invested in skilled staff, a fleet of branded vehicles, and — one of the biggest milestones in the DSB Bathrooms director’s story — our very own showroom.
